A perfect match
Dr. Jan Stritzke, former head physician of cardiology at the Asklepios Nordseeklinik Westerland, was already recruited for the Sylt site to be developed in 2015 and is currently working as deputy medical director at Lanserhof Tegernsee in preparation for this task.
From 2020 he will take over the management of Lanserhof Sylt as Medical Director.
They are to become medical director at the planned Lanserhof on Sylt. What makes the location so attractive?
Sylt offers a very special environment, a fascinating nature and an extraordinary gentle climate that you won’t find anywhere else. There are no temperature fluctuations on the island, as has often been the case recently. Our concept also harmonizes well with the rhythm of the island.
What are your plans?
The individual, holistic approach and the combination of naturopathy and high-tech medicine at the highest level will also be standard here.
Will there be special offers?
We will offer a cardiological focus in addition to the naturopathic focus. The connection to the Lanserhof concept is obvious: all this includes a healthy diet, which we at Lanserhof can do exemplarily well, and a sporting activation.
What personally appeals to you about this new task?
It’s simple: It’s exactly what I always wanted to do. Preventive medicine with these outstanding possibilities. It’s also nice that I can fulfill this dream in my home country
You were born in Sylt?
I was not born there, but Sylt is my home. My grandfather was a teacher here. My wife is the only neurologist on the island. My whole family lives there. I myself worked as a cardiologist in Westerland. I am currently working at Lanserhof Tegernsee, in preparation for my future job.
What distinguishes Tegernsee from Sylt?
I see more of a common denominator here: they are two special places of strength that you probably won’t find a second time in Germany. In this respect: Sylt and the Tegernsee are a perfect match.
