Late March to October
rom late March to October, Lufthansa offers direct flights from Munich to Sylt. During the summer months, the route operates daily—except on Tuesdays.

Flights available year-round
Just 60 minutes to the North Sea: The most frequently served and year-round available flight to Sylt is offered by Eurowings – nonstop from Düsseldorf.

Late March to mid-October
Depending on the season, flights from Germany’s largest airport depart on different days of the week. From late March to mid-October 2026, Lufthansa operates up to six flights per week from Frankfurt am Main to Sylt.

From May to early October
Just 90 minutes from Stuttgart to Sylt: From May to early October, Eurowings offers direct flights—on Thursdays and Saturdays, and additionally on Tuesdays from late July.

From May to mid-October, on Saturdays
From May 2 to October 17, 2026, MHS Aviation operates flights every Saturday from Kassel to Sylt.

From April to October
From April to October, Mannheim City Air connects Mannheim directly with Sylt several times a week.

Available year-round
In just two hours, Franconia will fly directly from Nuremberg to Sylt on Fridays through Sundays in 2026 – using a DA62 aircraft for up to four passengers.

From May
Also this summer, Austrian Airlines will fly directly from Vienna to Sylt. Flights begin in May – and this year, in addition to Saturdays, they will also operate on Wednesdays!

Year-round
Swiss International Air Lines flies nonstop from the Alps to the North Sea in 1 hour 45 minutes from late March to October, up to six times per week depending on the season. Alternatively, flights can also be booked via Lufthansa.

From May to September, on Saturdays
Also in 2026, Luxair will fly directly from Luxembourg to Sylt. From May 23 until mid-September, flights operate on Saturdays – reaching the island in just 1 hour 40 minutes.

With stopovers in Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, or Zurich, you can conveniently reach Sylt during the summer months – with airlines such as Lufthansa, Swiss International Air Lines, or Eurowings.

Arrival by car
The island of Sylt is not connected with the mainland by a road, so the journey to the island by car is possible only by car train or car ferry. The car loading station for the car train to Sylt is located in Niebüll. There you have the possibility to choose between two different providers. For more information on schedules and fares, please visit: www.syltshuttle.de and www.autozug-sylt.de You can reach Sylt by car train from Niebüll station in just 45 minutes.
Please remember that the last car train leaves Niebüll around 21.00.
Arrival by train
For sustainability reasons, we recommend arriving by train. The railroad line over the Hindenburgdamm connects the island with the mainland. There are many direct connections by IC to Sylt from the following stations, among others: Berlin, Bochum, Bonn, Bremen, Dortmund, Dresden, Düsseldorf, Duisburg, Essen, Frankfurt/Main, Göttingen, Hamburg (Altona), Hanover, Heidelberg, Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe, Koblenz, Cologne, Mainz, Münster, Osnabrück, Stuttgart. From Hamburg Altona to the train station Westerland on Sylt you need about 3 hours by train.
If you wish to be picked up from the train station, we will gladly organize a free limousine service for you. The Lanserhof Sylt is about 15 km away from the train station Westerland.
Arrival by ferry
The ferry crossing is an alternative to the DB Autozug. The ferry departs from Havneby on the Danish island of Rømø and reaches the destination port of List in the north of the island of Sylt in a good 45 minutes. The ferry “FRS-Syltfähre” commutes up to seven times a day. We will gladly organize a limousine service from there and bring you to Lanserhof Sylt.
The last ferry leaves Romo around 18.00 o’clock.
