Sleep medicine and biorhythms
Good sleep is conducive to a better quality of life. Those who do not sleep well over a longer period of time inevitably suffer from various problems in everyday life: tiredness, reduced ability to perform and concentrate, mood swings are only some of the possible consequences. A chronic sleep disorder has a significant impact on your health.
To find out exactly what is depriving you of sleep, a precise diagnosis is made at the beginning of your sleep therapy.
This is done with state-of-the-art equipment in one of our comfortable hotel rooms. Polysomnography is at the core of our sleep medical examination. Here we document your sleep phases during an entire night and measure various bodily functions. By recording all signals simultaneously, we can then assess their interaction with one another. We record the following data for sleep therapy: sleep phases, eye movements, snoring, breathing rate and breathing pauses, restless legs syndrome, oxygen saturation, chest and abdominal breathing and heart activity.
Sleep therapy at Lanserhof
Your sleep therapist will use the data obtained to create an individual, holistic sleep cure for you, based on the regeneration of the gastrointestinal tract. This is because the gastrointestinal tract ensures balanced melatonin and serotonin levels – they are messenger substances responsible for a regulated sleep-wake rhythm. In addition, we adjust your diet and round off your sleep therapy with relaxation and exercise training as well as mental coaching.
