World Spa Awards

Once again, executives, tour operators, agencies and media as well as spa industry specialists have decided on the winners in 24 categories in the run-up to the “World Spa Awards”.

On December 11, 2017, the “World Spa Awards” were presented at a festive gala in the Vietnamese JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa. The Lanserhof won the “Best Medical Spa” category for the third time in a row and convinced itself as “Best Wellness Retreat Germany” in another category.

As usual, the international competition was top-class and extensive. In the “Best Medical Spa” category, Lanserhof was able to beat the Niranlada Medi-Spa at the Chiva-Som Health Resort in Thailand and the SHA Wellness Clinic on the Spanish Mediterranean. In addition to the wellness area, the evaluation included the medical treatment offered, the nutritional concept, the fitness programme as well as the supporting programme offered, including e. g. the health and fitness programs as well as lectures by specialists.

Lanserhof CEO and co-owner of the Lanserhof Group, Dr. Christian Harisch, commented on the award-winning hattrick:”Being awarded the Worls Spa Awards for three consecutive years makes us particularly proud and confirms the leading position of the Lanserhof beyond the borders of Europe. At the same time, he is also a tribute to our strong team of employees who do an excellent job every day.”

The LANS Med Concept is a holistic health concept that combines naturopathy and recognized therapies with scientific know-how and top international medicine. Based on the findings of the Austrian pioneer and physician Franz Xaver Mayr (1875 – 1965), it is intended to support the guest in recovering mentally and physically during a cure. The treatments focus on detoxification, deacidification and purification of the body. In this way, the intestinal tract is to be regenerated – after all, it symbolizes the state of human health.
